There were tasty treats to be enjoyed at Winston Solicitors. The firm took part in Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids appeal, which raises money for the children’s charity, CLIC Sargent. An ice cream van arrived with ice-creams expertly served by Rich Williams and Naomi Kent, Radio Aire’s resident breakfast show hosts.
All the money raised from the ice-cream donations will go to the charity. To round off the event, Winston Solicitors held ‘Bake-Off’ which raised over £100. Staff brought in cakes they’d baked and everyone donated money to taste and vote...

Winston Solicitors LLP recently took part in a mock employment tribunal along with Harrowells Solicitors from York. The mock tribunal was hosted by the University of York’s Management School in partnership with North Yorkshire branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). The aim was to show business leaders and HR professionals how to minimise the risk of tribunal claims, improve preparation for tribunals and enhance their chances of successfully defending tribunal claims.

We are pleased to announce that we are now authorised to provide accredited CPD training courses suitable for legal professionals for the purposes of the SRA's CPD scheme.
Having previously run a number of free courses and seminars at Winston's, in the future, staff and other legal professionals attending relevant courses can gain points needed for their continued learning.

Winston Solicitors took part again in this year’s Radio Aire and Magic 828 Cash for Kids Christmas appeal. Our staff donated over £250 worth of gifts to the cause.
Our Private Client solicitor Joanna Longfellow and Alexia from our web team delivered this year’s car load of toys and gifts to Radio Aire. Rich and Naomi from Radio Aire’s breakfast show kindly posed for the photo with some of the donated toys.
All the donated toys will now be distributed across Leeds to children who would not otherwise be receiving a Christmas present this year.

Hot off the press, the final calendar featuring winning entries from children and young people from the Leeds Community is now on sale! Earlier in the year, St Gemma’s Hospice and Winston Solicitors launched a 2013 calendar competition, which was open to all children and young people across Leeds.

Once again the Patrons’ Evening at the St Gemma’s Annual Art Exhibition was a great success.
Winston Solicitors sponsored the evening where guests enjoyed viewing the fantastic range of artwork and sampled tasty canapés. Throughout the four day exhibition, visitors are invited to vote for their favourite piece of work for the Suzanne Winston Award for Best in Show.

For the second year running, two members of staff from Winston Solicitors, in Roundhay, went to talk to pupils at Woodkirk Academy in Wakefield during the school’s Annual Careers Fair.
Joanna Longfellow, a private client solicitor, along with colleague Hannah Snellin, a litigation executive, chatted to students from Years 11 to 13.
