Commercial disputes come in many forms – ranging from customers not paying their bills to complex breaches of contract , and even fraud.

As the nature of business has, in recent years, become more sophisticated with ever-increasing regulations and globalisation, so has commercial dispute resolution changed.

Court proceedings can be long drawn out, they are invariably expensive, the outcome is uncertain, and they are often a terrible distraction from running a business.

Gone are the days where issuing a Writ and saying, “I’ll see you in court”, are the automatic first option for aggrieved businesses and individuals.

Our approach at Winston Solicitors is to consider disputes intelligently, and to advise and assist our clients according to what is best for their own particular circumstances.

If it is possible to resolve a dispute through Negotiation (including) mediation that may well be better for your business than pressing ahead with civil litigation.

However, in some cases it may be impossible to secure a remedy without litigation.

We are happy to work with you to pursue the most appropriate resolution of your commercial disputes –  whether it be through Litigation or Negotiation (including Mediation).
