Compassionate and supportive during PI claim April 2019

Having almost lost my kidney in a road traffic accident, Amanda Evans helped me through this traumatic period of illness.

Amanda was professional at all times whilst being compassionate and offering kindness and support.

Amanda worked quickly, efficiently and continued to check up on me keeping me informed at all times.

I am grateful for the empathy and for her listening attentively to my issues.

I would highly recommend Amanda Evans to anyone seeking first class legal help.

I personally thank Amanda Evans for her representation on behalf of my son Simon. We found Amanda to be very helpful and informative, especially when guiding us through the procedures between MIB and us. We were extremely impresses with her professionalism. Thank you for your help. We will recommend Winston Solicitors and Amanda Evans too.

Miss B Messiah

Winston Solicitors were excellent in sorting and processing my claim. I received my compensation cheque within a year of my accident occurring which is brilliant! Everybody I spoke to relating to my claim at Winston Solicitors was very polite and helpful.

Take extra care on September 1

Take extra care on September 1

Motorists are being urged to take extra care when out on the roads on September 1 as it is statistically the day with the highest risk of being involved in a road accident.

Last year saw about 40% more accidents than average on that day and the previous two years saw 30% more accidents on a day when many are driving back home after their summer holidays. Experts say that, because this year September 1 falls on a Saturday, the risks are likely to be even higher so extra care should be taken.

Speeding drivers

Speeding drivers

New figures compiled by LV following freedom of information requests to police forces have revealed that last year saw five drivers who were caught while travelling at over twice the maximum speed limit.

The figures also identified which roads in the country were most prone to speeding and reported one instance of a man stopped after travelling at a speed of 152mph on his motor bike on the A27 in Sussex. Two cars were stopped on the A90 in Scotland while speeding at 149mph and 141mph respectively.

Younger drivers still at the most risk

Younger drivers still at the most risk

A new survey reveals that younger drivers are still at the greatest risk of having an accident with a quarter being involved in an accident in their first six months on the road and 40% having an accident by the time they are 23 years old.

The AA/Populus survey of 14,000 drivers is entitled Young Drivers at Risk and was released in conjunction with the Make Roads Safer campaign which calls for those below the age of 17 to have safe, off-road opportunities to drive before they eventually have proper lessons and take their driving test.
