Take extra care on September 1

Motorists are being urged to take extra care when out on the roads on September 1 as it is statistically the day with the highest risk of being involved in a road accident.

Last year saw about 40% more accidents than average on that day and the previous two years saw 30% more accidents on a day when many are driving back home after their summer holidays. Experts say that, because this year September 1 falls on a Saturday, the risks are likely to be even higher so extra care should be taken.

The research has been published by AXA Insurance and its motor director, Sarah Vaughan, says all motorists should take extra care driving home and can help by leaving plenty of time for the drive, having regular breaks and checking traffic reports to avoid congested routes.

Client feedback

I just dealt with Leasa in the recent purchase of my first home. Can not recommend her. Fast, efficient and has an eye on everything. Managed to get me from offer accepted to moving in less than 11 weeks.

The whole process of sorting out my wife's estate and a lasting power of atorney was made a relatively easy to understand process because the team we dealt with spoke to us in an easy to understand language. They also acted quickly at every stage as well as always keeping us updated if there were any delays.

We’ve recently completed both a sale and a purchase with the help of our conveyancer, Leasa, and we couldn’t recommend her highly enough. From start to finish, her communication was outstanding and she kept us informed at every stage and made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free. Leasa’s professionalism, attention to detail, and transparent approach gave us complete confidence throughout. We would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a conveyancer.

I was recommended by a work colleague to use Samantha at Winston’s for buying my first house. They were brilliant at communicating and replied to me so quickly! No question was too silly. Such a smooth process and I would definitely recommend. Really appreciate the help - thank you!!
