Wednesday 4 March: Leeds Mencap Apprentice - Team Winston launch day

When Leeds Mencap approached us to take part in their Apprentice Challenge, it was an opportunity to be grabbed. And what better way to start the fundraising ball rolling than with a team photo - in a ball pool!

Team Winston are looking to turn their initial £50 loan into a handsome profit to hand over to Leeds Mencap. We can't reveal all our plans just yet, incase the other Apprentice Challenge teams taking part pick up any ideas. Watch this space . . .

We are launching in our usual style with a Bake-Off, so more photos and updates to follow shortly.

Thursday 5 March: Spring-themed Bake Off

We're starting the fundraising in our usual fashion, with a Spring-Themed Baked-Off! Thanks to all the staff here at Winston Solicitors who baked, and of course to all the staff who have paid to taste and judge. Well done to Lynn Wallis and Vicki Price for your winning entries.

Quiz Mania

Our next event will be Quiz Mania on Thursday 23 April starting at 6.30pm. Only £20 per team (max 6 people per team). Entry details herehttps://www.winstonsolicitors.co.uk/blog/5th-annual-quiz-aid-leeds-mencap

Thanks to everyone who came to our Quiz night. 21 teams, that's over 110 people came to take part in our quiz. Paul Grindley played the role of quiz master perfectly. Cath Lee filled us all in on Leeds Mencap and explained where the fundraising will go. Between the raffle and the chance to swop a question, plenty of money was raised for the Apprentice Challenge.

Congratulations to the winning team The Inbetweeners AKA Ashcourt Rowan. Just one point ahead meant they took home the medals!

Michelle was our conveyancer for our recent house purchase. Her professionalism, thoroughness and quick responses throughout the process made the purchase as easy as possible for us - we are very grateful to her and the rest of the team at Winston Solicitors for their work.

I have now used Winston’s for a number of services and highly rate them all round. My most recent experience was of their conveyancing team who have again been helpful from start to finish with the sale of my previous property and new purchase. The new purchase was not straight forward but Winston’s managed this extremely well with even the estate agent noting how helpful they were. I’m very appreciative to Michelle for her all her help with this
