As is now tradition, staff, family and friends of Winston Solicitors collected gifts to donate to Radio Aire's Cash For Kids Mission Christmas appeal. To boost the fundraising, the team from Winston Solicitors held an afternoon tea with cakes and biscuits baked by staff. Everyone donated to eat cake, a nice break away from the usual afternoon routine.
Radio Aire's Cash For Kids appeal gives gifts to children and teenagers in the Leeds area who otherwise would wake up on Christmas day without any gifts at all. With 1 in 4 local children living in poverty, the Mission Christmas gift appeal supports disadvantaged children up to the age of 18.
In 2016, 23,396 children in West Yorkshire received gifts through the charity appeal. Without these donations, those 23,396 children would not have opened a present on Christmas Day.
