Woman fails driving test over a hundred times

New figures, just released by the Driving Standards Agency, reveal that one woman has failed her driving theory test no fewer than 105 times.

She is named the country’s most incompetent candidate, though another man is not too far behind with 84 failed attempts so far. The theory part of the test, which must be passed before the person goes on to take the practical exam, involves 50 multiple choice questions and candidates also have to take a hazard perception test.

Robert Gifford, executive director of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety, said it was hard to comprehend how someone could fail so many times and added he was sure HM Treasury would be pleased by her persistence because it meant a good income for the government.
