Stacey advises on a broad range of assault and abuse compensation claims, with particular expertise in the following areas:
- CICA claims and challenges – Extensive knowledge of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) scheme, including Reviews and Appeals where claims have been unfairly compensated or rejected.
- Reopened and transferred claims – Medically reopening previously settled claims where the original award did not accurately reflect the injuries suffered and taking over existing applications to help clients achieve the best possible outcome.

Examples of Stacey’s recent work include:
- In one case, Stacey acted for a client who suffered a serious brain injury following a physical assault. She managed the claim from start to finish and secured compensation of just under £260,000.00 reflecting the impact of the injury, loss of earnings capacity and ongoing care needs.
- In another case, Stacey successfully overturned the Authority’s decision to reject an application on two separate occasions. She represented the client throughout the review and appeal process and secured damages of more than £150,000.00 for a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, over 20 years after the abuse occurred.
