We understand that every situation is unique and many are complex. Our approach to family law is to listen with a compassionate and sympathetic ear.

How much will it cost to use Winston Solicitors’ family team?

Our charging system is bespoke, but we appreciate that the costs of engaging a lawyer can be intimidating, especially if you have never had to seek advice before.

We can discuss all the relevant funding options with you. This includes paying as you go for one-off advice, spreading your costs monthly, where appropriate assisting you with obtaining funding for your costs from the other party or via a third-party provider, fixed fees for specific items or even potentially deferring your costs until you have a settlement.

We have a range of expertise and experience within our team and our family law pricing reflects this. Our family law experts will endeavour where possible to find a solution that allows you access to the legal expertise you need.

We can offer fixed fees for specific elements of your case:

Divorce/Dissolution proceedings: £150- £300 + VAT*
Change of Name Deed: £150 + VAT
Cohabitation Agreement; Nuptial Agreement; Separation Agreement: £variable depending on complexity + VAT**
Advice Package: 1 hour meeting (first hour) – charged at £200.00 plus VAT (total £240.00)***

Comprehensive legal assistance

After our initial consultation we will assist you throughout your case and take you through the proceedings until conclusion. We will charge at our hourly rate but will try, where possible, to set financial fees for each stage of the process.

Tailored fixed fee packages for Family Law

Sometimes you simply need a helping hand with a particular task that the court or other party may require you to do, without engaging legal assistance for the whole process. In such circumstances, we can assist and tailor packages specifically for you, with a cost estimate for each matter.

Drafting Application Forms
Drafting a Financial Order
Completion of a Form E
Court Bundle Preparation

Following our initial consultation, we will fix a fee to assist with this task and a deadline in which to complete this.
