Everyone's a winner with Leeds Mencap Apprentice Challenge 2018

Winston Solicitors presenting charity cheque to Leeds Mencap

The Winston Solicitors team once again took part in the Leeds Mencap Apprentice Challenge. Taking an initial loan of £50, each team was challenged to raise as much as possible for the Leeds charity over a six week period.

For Winston Solicitors, it was a firm wide effort with the catchphrase 'divide and conquer’, which clearly worked given our winning status!

We kicked off the fundraising period with a Cake For Cash day closely followed by a raffle. To really hot up the raffle sales, Jonathan incentivised staff with an extra day’s holiday for the most tickets sold. Laura Hitchen was the proud winner by selling a grand total of 113 to her family and friends.

Our annual quiz night brought almost 100 people together to enjoy Paul’s eclectic quiz questions and bonus prizes.

After presenting the final cheque to Leeds Mencap for £1642.10 we were delighted to be presented with the winning trophy in return. Obviously it is the fundraising and taking part that counts, but we do like a ‘win win’ situation!
